So listen folks- I love the new jetBlue commercials about Happy Jetting. Try searching Happy Jetting on Google and the airlines new website comes up number one. The problem here is that if you don’t have flash 9 installed, you’ll never get to see how cool it is- jetBlue, you need to fix this website because you have 50 plus destinations throughout the US and beyond and not everyone uses a high speed Internet cable to get online- people do still dial-up 😦
Here are some fun and interesting facts about jetBlue– some you may know- some you may not:
  • jetBlue flys to Aruba, Cancun and DR, and has a total of 53 US destinations. They just stopped servicing Ontario, California- who even knew this was real place. The reason is due to gas costs- sorry Ontario.
  • They have a account on the social network check it here for information on weather and flight updates – Happy Jetting.
  • Frequent Flyer program is called TruBlue– get with it if your not already!
  • 141 fleets- includes airplanes such as AirbusA320-200 and Embraer 190- good choices!
  • Founder is David Neeleman, who used to be with SouthWest Airlines. he started jetBlue in 1999.
  • Investors include JP Morgan and recently CitiGroup who contributed a $110 million credit line for corporate developments.
  • President is Russ Chew- well you know, who really cares about Russ, but his name sounds super cool when you say “Hey Chew”– lol, sorry did someone sneeze! 🙂
  • This airline prides itself on in flight entertainment, including but not limited to DirectTV, brought to clients by LiveTV- as well as XM Radio for all your listening pleasures.
  • In addtion for outside the US Flights they offer free in flight movies.
  • The newest offer is called BetaBlue– where clients can use Instant Messenger and Email in flight. WOW- who can top that- Virgin???
  • Their motto is “Bringing Humanity Back to Air Travel!” How true is this folks- I’d say pretty darn true after reading some of their fans Twitter comments, like these.
  • So although they are the best airline– they do NOT rank on Google for “Best Airline,” “Great airline,” or “comfortable airline,” so it is probably a good idea they hire me to help with this effort- LOL 😉 😉
  • jetBlue- despite some rocky experience for travellers- is committed to positive customer service. The good news is they made all their recent wrongs right with the P.O.ed clients of the past- those who sat on the run way for 5 hours that is! Good PR recovery guys and dolls.
  • Their website for Happy Jetting is listed in StumbleUpon- a popular social network- so if you are a top Stumbler- stumble them with a big thumbs UP!
  • OHHHH heres the good stuff for investors to care about- jetBlue’s Q2 earnings for 2008 were up 17%, but some other stuff was down. Overall the CFO, Ed Barns, said they believe in slow growth during this economic environment- smart move Mr. Barns!
  • JD Power and Associates gave jetBlue flights highest honors for customer service this year- anyone unhappy- tell me about it below in your comments!
  • With 600 daily flights– who can’t find a reason to fly today???
  • jetBlue is an airline based on value, service, and style– who doesn’t agree with this? I defiantly do!

So I am sure you are all wondering why I wrote about this airline! Some of you already know, but for those of you who don’t- it is simple. This airline exudes a positive pulse, and anything positive, should be recognized.
Stay loved, and give love because love is love- don’t fly without a positive mind or you just might end up JetUpset. 🙂

Wow- this is really some fun facts and stuff I did not know. You didn’t mention all the leg room they offer. Its so crazy cause there is so much leg room I can hardly reach the seat pockets in front of me. Oh yeah- and that cool free Spa stuff they used to give- I loved that (maybe that was just for us NYC folks huh?).
